We’ve always said this fight is not just about Harvard. The Trump administration’s attack on higher education impacts every school and is already weakening a key pillar of our democracy. To stop these attacks on academic freedom, civil liberties, and diversity in hiring and admissions, Crimson Courage helped found the Emergency Campaign to Support Higher Education.
After Election Day, as Congress reconvenes and administrative rule-making continues, we’ll work with the Emergency Campaign and other groups to block proposed rules that politicize federal funding and shrink opportunities for Black and Latino students and scholars. We’ll also join the Campaign in organizing broad support for Pell grants to make college more affordable, and work with alumni groups and allies to press college presidents to refuse to capitulate.
